We are searching for a qualified and experienced Geomorphologist to join our dynamic team in Seattle. The successful candidate will analyze landforms, study geological processes, and assess the interactions between earth materials and climate, contributing to impactful environmental solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive fieldwork and laboratory analysis to study geomorphological processes.
  • Develop models to predict changes in landforms due to natural and anthropogenic influences.
  • Prepare technical reports and guide decision-making for land management practices.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams on environmental projects.
  • Stay current with technological advancements in geomorphology and adapt methodologies accordingly.
  • Support client engagement through presentations and discussions on findings.
  • Foster partnerships with local communities related to land-use strategies.
  • Participate in peer-reviewed publication efforts to contribute to scientific knowledge.
  • Contribute to grant applications through detailed project proposals.
  • Promote awareness of environmental issues through educational campaigns.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related field
  • Professional Certification in Geomorphology is a plus
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Proficient in GIS software for spatial analysis.
  • Field Data Collection Extensive experience in fieldwork and gathering geological data.
  • Remote Sensing Experience with remote sensing tools for environmental assessment.
  • Data Analysis Software Expertise in analysis tools such as R and Python.
  • Analytical Thinking Exceptional analytical skills for problem solving.
  • Effective Communication Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Team Collaboration Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to Detail Meticulous in data interpretation and reporting.
  • Professional Geologist (PG)
  • Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Publication record in geomorphology: Demonstrated ability to publish original research findings.
  • Experience with environmental regulations: Understanding of laws affecting land use and environmental protection.
