Job Description

The Court, Municipal, and License Clerk plays a crucial role in the city's administration, responsible for maintaining official records, managing licenses, and facilitating effective communication between city departments and the public. Ideal candidates will possess exceptional organizational skills and a strong understanding of municipal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of city records, records requests, and public information.
  • Coordinate and manage city council meetings, including logistics and documentation.
  • Provide information and assistance to city officials and the public.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for city events and public notices.
  • Assist in the election process, ensuring voter registration is accurate and timely.
  • Coordinate with city departments ensuring legal compliance in licensing processes.
  • Maintain the city’s digital platforms, ensuring current and accurate information.
  • Train and mentor staff on clerical procedures and records management.
  • Ensure compliance with city regulations regarding public records.
  • Research and implement best practices for efficient clerical functions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a related field
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in municipal government.
