Job Description

As a Pediatric Clinical Geneticist, you will diagnose and treat genetic disorders in children and collaborate with families to provide personalized care. Your role involves conducting genetic evaluations, interpreting test results, and working alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose genetic disorders in pediatric patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on genetic evaluations.
  • Provide compassionate genetic counseling to families, addressing their concerns and questions.
  • Analyze and interpret genetic test results, delivering accurate information to families.
  • Work in collaboration with specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in electronic medical systems.
  • Engage in research activities and clinical studies related to pediatric genetics.
  • Deliver educational sessions for staff and community organizations about genetics.
  • Stay informed about new genetic technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Fellowship in Clinical Genetics is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years working in pediatric genetics
