Job Description

The Corporation Counsel will provide legal guidance and oversight to our organization, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while managing a variety of legal matters. You will play a pivotal role in negotiating contracts, handling disputes, and advising on corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts and legal agreements.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Handle legal disputes and litigation management.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on risk assessments.
• Facilitate communication between various departments to address legal concerns.
• Keep abreast of developments in corporate law and regulations.
• Lead compliance audits and assessments.
• Implement training programs for employees on legal protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• MBA or similar degree is a plus

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in corporate law and compliance

Technical Skills

• Securities Law

Certifications

• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
