Telegraph Plant Maintainer

Job Description

As a Telegraph Plant Maintainer, you will ensure the operational efficiency of telegraph plants by conducting maintenance checks, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with team members to optimize system performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of telegraph equipment and make necessary repairs.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure effective maintenance schedules.
• Document all maintenance and repair work according to company policy.
• Respond to emergency calls regarding plant equipment.
• Implement safety protocols consistently to minimize risk.
• Perform audits of equipment condition and performance metrics.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred
• Technical certifications in telecommunications or related fields are a plus

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in maintaining telecommunication systems

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of fiber optics
• Diagnostic equipment proficiency

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Fiber Optic Technician Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
