Job Description

As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining die-casting molds. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and enhancing the functionality of tools used in our production processes. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can ensure the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain die-casting molds and tooling equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to prevent downtime in production.
• Collaborate with engineering on tooling design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
• Participate in production planning meetings to align tooling needs.
• Assist in training new hires on die maintenance processes.
• Provide feedback on tooling performance and suggest upgrades.
• Document changes and modifications to tooling systems.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of die-casting machines.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in die repair or tooling maintenance roles

Technical Skills

• PLC programming
• SolidWorks

Soft Skills

• Communication skills
• Time management

Certifications

• Welding Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with casting design and development: Knowledge of the casting design process from concept to production.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles: Understanding of lean methodologies to enhance production efficiency.
