Job Description

As a Route Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering packages and mail to designated routes, ensuring timely and efficient service. Your role will require strong communication skills and adherence to safety guidelines to guarantee an excellent delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport packages and mail to various locations on assigned routes.
• Ensure compliance with company delivery processes and procedures.
• Interact with customers to address inquiries and provide updates.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
• Utilize navigation tools to plan efficient delivery routes.
• Document delivery information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage load for deliveries.
• Assist in training new route carriers as needed.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration.
• Assist with administrative duties related to delivery operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a delivery driver or route carrier.

Technical Skills

• Navigation skills
• Customer service skills

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Physical stamina

Certifications

• Commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Intermediate

• Experience driving larger vehicles: Comfort operating vans or trucks is a plus.
