Job Description

As a Dredge Operator, you will be responsible for operating dredging equipment to remove sediments and debris from waterways. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with dredging machinery and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dredging operations using hydraulic and mechanical dredges.
• Inspect machinery and equipment daily, performing maintenance as necessary.
• Coordinate with environmental specialists to ensure compliance with ecological guidelines.
• Engage in teamwork to meet project milestones and ensure efficiency.
• Evaluate dredging performance and suggest improvements to methodologies.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of dredging operations as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs of dredging operations and submit to project leads.
• Implement best practices for waste disposal and environmental restoration.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certifications in marine operations preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in dredging or related fields.
