Job Description

Looking for passionate Fishing and Hunting Workers to join our team. You will assist in locating oyster-rich areas, employing specialized harvesting tools, and maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Locate optimal harvesting sites using sonar technology.
• Perform routine inspections on vessels to ensure safe operation.
• Monitor water quality and environmental conditions.
• Train new recruits on proper harvesting techniques and safety standards.
• Collaborate with conservation groups to promote sustainable practices.
• Assist in the development of harvesting strategies that minimize environmental impact.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in commercial fishing or oyster harvesting is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong swimming and diving skills
• Knowledge of oyster biology and habitats
• Ability to operate and maintain boats or vessels

Soft Skills

• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Teamwork
• Strong communication skills

Certifications

• Commercial fishing license (if required by state)
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to perform basic repairs on harvesting equipment.: Skills in maintaining tools and machinery used in oyster harvesting.
• Certification in shellfish sanitation or food safety.: Further qualifications in safe harvesting and handling practices.
