Behavioral Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that support the mental and emotional well-being of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of behavioral psychology and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Engage in individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive environment.
• Regularly document client progress and treatment adjustments.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure holistic treatment.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for clients and families about mental health and coping strategies.
• Help clients develop skills to manage their behavioral challenges effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work
• Certification in Behavioral Analysis or related field (preferred)

Experience

• Experience working with clients with complex behavioral needs

Certifications

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems: Experience with EHR systems for documentation and management of client records.
• Experience in crisis intervention: Hands-on experience in emergency mental health situations is preferred.
