Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Adapted Physical Education Specialist who will implement physical activity interventions tailored for clients with special needs, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate individual needs through assessments and design tailored activity plans.
  • Implement and oversee adapted physical activity programs focused on improving physical fitness and motor skills.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to clients during activity sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with special education and therapy teams to maximize client outcomes.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records of interventions.
  • Organize and lead educational sessions on adapted physical activities.
  • Participate in community outreach to promote adaptive sports and activities.
  • Comply with industry standards and legal regulations regarding disability services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Adapted Physical Activity, Kinesiology, or a relevant field
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
