Job Description

As a Perishable Freight Inspector, you will oversee the transport of temperature-sensitive goods. You’ll be responsible for inspecting shipments for compliance with safety standards and regulations, ensuring that perishable products arrive in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of refrigerated and frozen shipments.
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding perishable goods.
• Analyze inspection data to suggest improvements in processes.
• Coordinate with transport personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
• Participate in safety training and audits to uphold company standards.
• Serve as a point of contact for vendors regarding quality assurance.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of inspections and findings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in perishable goods handling and transportation
