Job Description

As a Residential Advisor, you will provide essential support and guidance to students living in college residence halls. Your role will involve upholding policies, fostering a safe and inclusive community, and assisting students with any issues they encounter during their academic journey.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Assist students in navigating college resources for academic and personal success.
  • Organize workshops and events to promote a healthy living community.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents and build trust within the community.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation among residents.
  • Keep abreast of student development theories and practices to effectively support residents.
  • Work in tandem with campus security to ensure a safe environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
Technical Skills
  • Email and messaging platforms

Certifications
  • Certified in Crisis Management
Languages
  • English: Fluent
