Job Description

As a Lobsterman at Premier Seafood Co., you will be responsible for catching, harvesting, and maintaining the quality of lobsters. You will operate fishing equipment, adhere to regulations, and work closely with local marine biologists to ensure sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing effective techniques to capture lobsters while avoiding bycatch.
  • Implementing proper sorting methods to ensure lobster quality.
  • Regularly inspecting and maintaining fishing gear.
  • Navigating coastal waters and understanding tidal patterns.
  • Managing daily fishing reports to track overall productivity.
  • Engaging in teamwork and communication with crew members.
  • Observing marine life and reporting changes in conditions.
  • Contributing to the development of new fishing strategies.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment onboard.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in lobster fishing or marine-related work
