Job Description

As a Librarian and Media Collections Specialist, you will play an essential role in organizing and maintaining our diverse catalog of media and library resources. Your contributions will ensure that patrons have easy access to information, fostering a culture of learning and discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and categorize library resources for optimal user experience.
  • Manage data entry processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
  • Support library initiatives in promoting a diverse range of media collections.
  • Engage with community members to understand collection needs.
  • Review and update existing catalog entries to reflect current standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and presentations on library resources.
  • Contribute to the development of digital collections.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding procurement of media resources.
  • Assist in archiving and preserving important collections.
  • Evaluate user feedback to improve cataloging services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
  • Master's degree in Library Science is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in cataloging or library services
