Job Description

As a Surveying and Mapping Technician at ABC Surveying, you will play a vital role in creating accurate survey data using modern equipment. Your work will support architects, engineers, and builders in making informed decisions for various construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveys using advanced surveying technology.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in survey execution.
• Analyze data to provide recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Document equipment maintenance and calibration records.
• Support project management tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in land surveying

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• GPS and GIS Software
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License
• Certified Survey Technician (CST)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with 3D laser scanning and modeling: Familiarity with advanced surveying techniques for creating 3D models.
• Knowledge of surveying for renewable energy projects: Experience working in the renewable energy sector for surveying land.
