Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with mental health disorders and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and document findings.
  • Prescribe medications as needed and assess their effectiveness.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinic-wide meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for patients' mental health needs within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric/mental health nursing
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license
  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Experience
  • Experience with diagnosing and treating anxiety disorders, depression, and psychotic disorders
