Job Description

As a Firestopper Technician, you will ensure the proper installation and maintenance of firestop systems. You will work on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, hospitals, and universities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a solid understanding of fire safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install firestop systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke.
  • Inspect firestop installations and perform necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with firestop systems.
  • Participate in safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Document installation processes and materials used.
  • Work with a variety of firestop materials and systems.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Support training efforts for new team members.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill development.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Firestop Systems and Materials (e.g., FCIA) highly preferred
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in firestop technology
