Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Field Scout to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in collecting and analyzing data regarding crops and agricultural conditions. Your collaboration with agronomists and farmers is crucial as you contribute to vital decision-making processes that affect yield and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of crops to gather comprehensive data.
• Ensure accurate recording of all observations using digital tools.
• Identify indications of pest infestations or diseases.
• Provide actionable insights from data analysis to farmers and agronomists.
• Contribute to the planning of crop management strategies.
• Engage with technology to enhance data collection processes.
• Regularly service and calibrate all field-related equipment.
• Research and report on emerging trends in crop monitoring.
• Foster strong communication with agricultural stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss findings and strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in field scouting or data collection
