Responsibilities

• Prepare open hearth equipment for production activities.
• Ensure proper charging of materials into the open hearth furnace.
• Assist in monitoring the melting process and adjust as necessary.
• Work closely with supervisors to ensure production meets quality standards.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
• Support fellow laborers in their tasks as needed.
• Document daily activities and report performance metrics.
• Follow operational checklists to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in the steel or manufacturing industry is a plus.
