Job Description

As a Gas Appliance Repairer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with gas-powered appliances. You will work closely with clients to ensure their appliances are safe and functional, adhering to all gas safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot gas appliances, ensuring all issues are documented.
  • Swap out defective parts and ensure replacement parts meet safety standards.
  • Conduct safety tests post-repair to confirm proper operation of gas appliances.
  • Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of gas appliances.
  • Help to train new technicians on gas appliance diagnostics and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal gas safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program in gas appliance repair
Experience
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in gas appliance repair or related fields
Technical Skills
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of gas safety guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
Certifications
  • Valid state license or certification in gas appliance repair
Languages
  • English: Fluent
