Job Description

We are searching for a skilled First-Line Supervisor to oversee a team of carpenters in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and an eye for detail, ensuring that all projects are executed on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of carpenters on various construction sites.
• Read, interpret, and clarify project drawings and specifications.
• Order materials and tools required for each project.
• Resolve problems and conflicts on job sites.
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Monitor and report on team performance and productivity.
• Train new employees in carpentry techniques and safety protocols.
• Develop and implement project schedules.
• Ensure all carpentry work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and resource usage.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
