Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rag Room Supervisor to manage operations in our rag room. This role involves overseeing a team that ensures efficient handling and processing of rags used in our production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise a dedicated team in the rag room.
  • Ensure the proper sorting and recycling of rags within production.
  • Develop and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor production metrics and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Create and enforce schedules for rag room operations.
  • Assist in the training of new employees on operational standards.
  • Review and refine rag processing methodologies.
  • Report any safety hazards or operational challenges to management.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on efficiency and safety.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Operations Management preferred
Experience
  • Experience with rag room operations or textile handling is a plus.
