Excavating Machine Operator

Job Description

As an Excavating Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery used for excavation and construction activities. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all work is performed safely and efficiently while adhering to all regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in grading and leveling sites for construction.
• Ensure the proper operation of GPS and other location-based tools for accurate excavation.
• Respond to onsite emergencies in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the site supervisor immediately.
• Help train new operators on best practices and company safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in machinery operation are a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience operating heavy machinery in construction

• CPR and First Aid Certification

• English: Fluent
