Job Description

The Chipper position requires individuals to operate wood chippers effectively, converting tree branches and trunks into wood chips. This role demands physical endurance and a keen eye for detail, ensuring safe and accurate operations. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and be committed to maintaining a clean work environment, as well as adhering to safety guidelines consistently.

Responsibilities

• Operate wood chippers and monitor safety during the process.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks on equipment after usage.
• Inspect equipment for defects before and after operation.
• Ensure effective communication with team members regarding workflow and safety protocols.
• Assist in the disposal and management of wood chips and other debris.

Advantageous

• Ability to operate other forestry equipment: Experience with related machinery such as stump grinders or log splitters.
• Knowledge of tree care techniques: Understanding of basic horticulture principles and practices.
