Job Description

The Shipping Point Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of products prior to shipping. This position involves inspecting items against established specifications and documentation, thereby ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of goods and materials at the shipping point for compliance with quality standards.
  • Inspect packaging, labeling, and documentation accuracy.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stocking as necessary.
  • Document and report any non-compliant items or quality issues immediately.
  • Support warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to established safety standards and protocols.
  • Assist in training new team members on quality control procedures.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes.
  • Manage the maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in quality inspection is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of inspection experience, preferably in a shipping/logistics environment.
