Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drilling and Boring Machine Tool Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating drilling machines and lathes to produce high-quality production holes in metal and plastic materials. Attention to detail and technical expertise are essential to ensure product specifications are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drilling equipment including stabilizers and drill collars.
• Monitor drilling parameters and adjust settings for optimal performance.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other operators and supervisors to improve processes.
• Keep detailed records of drilling operations and machinery maintenance.
• Train and mentor junior operators on equipment handling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
• Participate in safety training and drills.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in machining or equivalent experience

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a production environment preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of calipers and micrometers
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration
• Effective Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• CNC machining experience.: Experience with CNC machines can be an added benefit.
• Familiarity with safety standards.: Knowledge of workplace safety protocols is preferred.
