Sample Cutter

Job Description

We are seeking a Sample Cutter with outstanding cutting and sewing skills to join our team. The Sample Cutter will be responsible for cutting fabric and materials accurately based on patterns while ensuring precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting machines and tools to create samples from specified patterns.
• Evaluate and inspect materials for defects before commencing cutting.
• Maintain cutting area to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Document and report any material discrepancies to the production manager.
• Work closely with design teams to meet product specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assist in training new staff on cutting techniques.
• Support inventory management processes related to cutting materials.
• Adhere to production schedules and timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal training in apparel construction is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a cutting role within the fashion industry.

Technical Skills

• CAD Software
• Machine Operation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
