Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) who will provide specialized services aimed at improving the daily lives of individuals with vision loss. Your work will involve assessing needs, developing personalized plans, and offering hands-on training with adaptive devices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine client needs and establish rehabilitation goals.
• Create custom rehabilitation strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
• Provide hands-on training in orientation and mobility skills.
• Educate clients on the use of assistive devices and technologies to aid daily living.
• Guide clients in mastering tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic client care.
• Document client progress and adapt rehabilitation strategies accordingly.
• Keep abreast of new developments in vision rehabilitation resources.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
• Advocate for client needs and ensure their voices are heard in care planning.
