Job Description

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you’ll be integral to our office, assisting with orthodontic procedures and ensuring optimal patient experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Support orthodontists during patient treatments by providing necessary tools and equipment.
  • Assist in developing treatment plans in collaboration with the orthodontist.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed in the treatment area.
  • Manage patient records by entering data and updating charts as required.
  • Educate patients on the importance of effective oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.
  • Handle appointment scheduling and patient communications effectively.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of treatment rooms post-appointment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and report shortages.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients during their visits.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a dental assisting program from an accredited institution
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in an orthodontic setting.
