Job Description
As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you’ll be integral to our office, assisting with orthodontic procedures and ensuring optimal patient experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
Support orthodontists during patient treatments by providing necessary tools and equipment.
Assist in developing treatment plans in collaboration with the orthodontist.
Ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed in the treatment area.
Manage patient records by entering data and updating charts as required.
Educate patients on the importance of effective oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.
Handle appointment scheduling and patient communications effectively.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of treatment rooms post-appointment.
Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and report shortages.
Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients during their visits.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a dental assisting program from an accredited institution
Experience
1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in an orthodontic setting.
