Transformer Shop Supervisor

Job Description

As the Transformer Shop Supervisor, you will oversee all transformer operations within our manufacturing facility. Leading a team of skilled technicians, you will ensure the effective maintenance, repair, and testing of transformers, drive operational efficiency, and uphold quality standards in a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and optimize transformer shop workflows.
• Ensure timely and effective performance of maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with quality assurance to implement corrective measures.
• Engage in regular meetings with upper management to report progress.
• Support technicians with technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity.
• Document maintenance procedures and ensure accessibility for the team.
• Review and analyze production reports, identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage health and safety compliance, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Encourage a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in electrical engineering or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transformer maintenance and repairs, with experience in a supervisory capacity.

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate relevant tools and equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
