Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform mental health evaluations and diagnoses for adult patients.
  • Design treatment plans incorporating therapy and medication where appropriate.
  • Assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical progress.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health and treatment options.
  • Work closely with social workers, nurses, and therapists to coordinate care.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment progress diligently.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to healthcare peers when required.
  • Attend workshops and training to remain current in psychiatry practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Completion of residency in Psychiatry
  • Board certification in Psychiatry
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in outpatient psychiatry
