Job Description

As an Airfield Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our airport's airfield, which includes runways, taxiways, and aprons. Your expertise in aviation regulations and safety protocols will be vital in ensuring compliance while maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety protocols and operational procedures for airfield activities.
• Train and mentor junior staff in airfield management best practices.
• Prepare reports on airfield operations and incidents to present to management.
• Manage airfield signage and lighting, ensuring they meet safety standards.
• Assist in regulatory audits and prepare documentation for compliance.
• Engage with community representatives regarding airfield operations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Engineering preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in airport operations

Technical Skills

• Airfield safety management
• Familiarity with air traffic management

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Certifications

• PADI Airfield Operations Management Certification
• NIMS Certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior work experience in air traffic management: Experience in coordinating air traffic operations is beneficial.
