Job Description

As a Livestock Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of farm operations including livestock care, employee management, and compliance with agricultural regulations. Your expertise will ensure the farm operates efficiently and profitably.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient livestock production and management.
  • Manage day-to-day operations on the farm, including feed procurement, animal health, and waste management.
  • Oversee the breeding and genetics program to improve herd quality and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to livestock farming.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to meet market demands and develop marketing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of livestock inventory, health records, and financial transactions.
  • Train and supervise farm staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees and enforce safety protocols.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to continuously improve farm operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field is preferred
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in livestock management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
