Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Chicago office. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and testing mechanical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market. You will leverage your technical expertise and creativity to solve complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing.
• Analyze data from tests to improve design and functionality.
• Work alongside project managers to align engineering objectives with company goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Implement improvements based on user feedback and testing results.
• Document design changes and report on project status regularly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
