Job Description

As a Veterans Rehabilitation Counselor, you will be instrumental in guiding veterans through their rehabilitation journeys, helping them set and achieve their vocational goals. You will assist veterans in navigating training programs and overcoming various employment barriers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of veterans' strengths and goals to develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling to support emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address veteran needs effectively.
  • Assist in resume building and job search efforts to enhance veteran employability.
  • Advocate for veteran access to rights, benefits, and necessary community support.
  • Monitor and track veterans' rehabilitation progress with detailed documentation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of VA resources and programs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with veterans or military personnel is highly desirable
