Dog Daycare Attendant

Job Description

As a Dog Daycare Attendant at Compassionate Paws Daycare, your primary responsibility will be the care and supervision of dogs while they enjoy their time in our facility. You'll ensure their safety, provide stimulating play, and create a welcoming environment for both dogs and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during group play, ensuring their safety.
• Engage with dogs for mental stimulation and physical exercise.
• Keep play areas clean and free of hazards.
• Assist with dog grooming and bathing as needed.
• Communicate with pet owners about their dog's behavior and needs.
• Document daily activities and incidents involving dogs.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain the supply of food, toys, and cleaning materials.
• Build strong relationships with the dogs to promote a positive experience.
• Help implement enrichment activities for dogs.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a similar role or a strong passion for working with dogs.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Dog Behavior
• Basic Computer Skills

• Team Player
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Pet First Aid Certification
• Dog Training Certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in dog training techniques: Familiarity with positive reinforcement training methods.
• Experience in administering medications to dogs: Knowledgeable in the proper administration of various pet medications.
