Job Description

The Power Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the power plant. This includes managing production schedules and overseeing compliance with safety regulations while leading a dedicated team of professionals in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall operations of the power plant, addressing technical and production challenges.
  • Lead safety training initiatives for all staff, ensuring a strong safety culture.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades and projects.
  • Establish standardized operating procedures for all plant operations.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration for seamless operations.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Mentor junior staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Explore new technologies for improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Power Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Energy Management is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a power plant setting
