Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Surveying and Mapping Technician to assist our surveying team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of surveying equipment and methodologies, and will play a key role in performing field surveys, collecting data, and ensuring accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced surveying tools to conduct land surveys.
• Gather and analyze field data to create accurate maps.
• Assist in construction staking and layout activities.
• Conduct quality checks on surveying data collected.
• Communicate findings with project managers and team members.
• Ensure compliance with state surveying regulations.
• Train junior technicians in equipment use and data collection.
• Maintain organized records of surveying activities.
• Participate in site assessments and planning meetings.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in surveying or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in land surveying or construction

• Total Stations

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with drone surveying: Familiarity with the use of drones for capturing survey data.
• Knowledge of boundary and topographical surveying: Understanding of boundary determination and topographic mapping.
