Job Description

As a Roaster Operator at Quality Brew Co., you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art coffee roasting equipment. You will ensure the quality and consistency of roasted coffee beans and work closely with the production team to deliver outstanding coffee products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the coffee roasting machines are set up and calibrated before the roasting process.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the roasting process.
• Communicate with the production manager regarding production schedules and equipment issues.
• Maintain cleanliness in the roasting area, following all health and safety regulations.
• Utilize computer-based monitoring systems to track roasting parameters.
• Conduct cupping sessions to evaluate flavor profiles and adjust roasting techniques accordingly.
• Keep all records updated to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to adhere to product specifications.
• Help maintain an organized inventory of raw materials and roasted products.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of coffee roasting certification program preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in coffee roasting or related field

Technical Skills

• Certifications in Food Safety
• Understanding of Specialty Coffee

• English: Fluent
