Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our bustling kitchen. As part of our team, you will assist in food preparation and ensure a clean and efficient kitchen workspace. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive workplace culture.
• Monitor ingredients for freshness and proper food storage.
• Participate in food quality checks and maintain high standards of cuisine.
• Assist with dishwashing and cleanup after meals to maintain efficiency.
• Maintain positive communication with the kitchen team and management.
• Support with the development of new menu items as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and provide feedback for kitchen improvement.
• Actively assist in kitchen events and special functions when needed.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Culinary arts degree or relevant certification is a plus

Experience

• Some experience in a kitchen or food service role is preferred but not required

Technical Skills

• Basic Cooking Skills
• Food Safety Practices

• Adaptability
• Communication

Certifications

• Culinary Arts Certification preferred
• Food Handler Certification is beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with food service software: Familiarity with kitchen management systems is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions: Understanding food allergies and dietary needs.
