Job Description

As an Electric Meter Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our electric power meters are installed, maintained, and repaired to deliver accurate readings. Your hands-on expertise will help enhance the efficiency and reliability of our energy services.

Responsibilities

  • Install and replace electric meters for residential and commercial clients.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electric metering systems.
  • Conduct periodic testing and calibration of metering equipment.
  • Coordinate with utility services to facilitate meter installations.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or issues found during inspections.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in electric metering.
  • Assist in project planning for new meter installations.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
  • Enhance customer relations through effective communication and service.
  • Contribute to team meetings with insights on operational improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in electrical systems preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in installation and maintenance of electric meters.
Technical Skills
