Set-Up Operator

Job Description

The Set-Up Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to produce high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities from routine maintenance to quality assurance inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial setup of machines including adjusting settings and calibrating tools.
• Monitor machinery during production runs for efficiency and safety.
• Maintain accurate production records and machine logs.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production targets and issues.
• Conduct post-production inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Assist in the training of new employees on machine operations and protocols.
• Work closely with maintenance technicians to perform preventive maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma or credential in manufacturing or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Machine operation experience
• Quality control

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a regulated industry: Background working in industries such as food or pharmaceuticals.
• Forklift operating certification: Certification for safe operation of forklifts in a manufacturing environment.
