Job Description

As a Fire Battalion Chief, you will be at the forefront of emergency response operations. This role encompasses managing fire prevention strategies and leading a team of dedicated firefighters to ensure community safety. Your experience and leadership will drive effectiveness in responding to emergencies, and you will play a critical role in training and mentoring personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct emergency responses to fires and other disasters.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs for personnel.
  • Manage operational resources and budget effectively.
  • Ensure the safety and readiness of firefighting equipment.
  • Engage with the community to promote fire safety education.
  • Implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering their professional development.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or related field
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 10+ years of firefighting experience, with 5 years in a leadership role
