Getter Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Getter Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate should be experienced in various welding techniques and possess a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute various welding operations according to specifications, blueprints, and work orders.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper settings for optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds for quality assurance.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety standards at all times.
• Assist in training new welding staff as needed.
• Help troubleshoot welding-related issues in production.
• Maintain organized documentation of welding activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Attend safety and technical workshops to keep skills current.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in specialized welding techniques are a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or welding environment

Technical Skills

• Welding machinery operation
• CNC machinery operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification
• Specialized welding technique certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of metallurgy and different welding materials: Understanding of material properties and their welding requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues: Ability to analyze and rectify welding-related challenges quickly.
