Job Description

The Slice Plug Cutter Operator is responsible for operating a plug cutter machine to create plugs used in various woodworking projects. The operator will ensure the machine runs smoothly, identify and resolve any issues, and maintain a consistent production rate.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate the plug cutter machine.
  • Conduct quality checks on produced plugs to meet specifications.
  • Communicate any machinery issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Document production data and machine maintenance logs.
  • Assist in training new operators on machine functions.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and drills.
  • Help improve efficiency by suggesting process enhancements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in operating plug cutter machines or similar woodworking machinery
