Job Description

The Cornea Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of corneal diseases and injuries. This role includes performing advanced corneal surgeries and guiding patients through their recovery processes. We seek a compassionate and skilled individual who can work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a variety of corneal conditions.
  • Perform surgical interventions related to the cornea.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ recovery following surgeries.
  • Educate patients regarding corneal health and preventive measures.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
  • Maintain electronic medical records and documentation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and case reviews.
  • Support residents and fellows during their training.
  • Contribute to departmental research projects and publications.

Requirements

Education
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency in ophthalmology with a fellowship in cornea specialty
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in ophthalmology, 2 years specializing in corneal management.
