Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Hide Splitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently and accurately splitting hides to client specifications, ensuring quality and precision throughout the process. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately split hides using specialized equipment and tools.
• Inspect and identify quality issues or defects in hides during the splitting process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and utilize appropriate protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
• Document and maintain records of hide splitting activities.
• Assist in training new employees on safe hide splitting techniques.
• Monitor and report inventory levels of hides and materials.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to a safe work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in leather processing is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of different types of hides
• Operation of machinery

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with safety regulations in manufacturing: Knowledge of health and safety practices in a production environment.
