Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Weather Algorithm Scientist to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing algorithms to improve weather forecasting accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets from weather stations and remote sensors to derive insights.
• Implement machine learning techniques to refine weather prediction models.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop innovative forecasting tools.
• Research and evaluate new data assimilation techniques for more accurate models.
• Develop algorithms that enhance real-time processing of weather data.
• Document and present progress on algorithm development to project teams.
• Mentor junior scientists and interns in algorithm development and data analysis.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in weather forecasting or climate modeling.
