Softball Umpire

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Softball Umpire to officiate games and ensure fair play and adherence to the rules and regulations of the sport. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of softball rules, excellent judgment, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforce game rules and maintain order during matches.
• Evaluate performances and provide constructive feedback to junior officials.
• Handle all officiating duties with fairness and transparency.
• Support team cohesion among officials and players.
• Conduct pre-game assessments of field conditions and equipment.
• Utilize technology for improved decision-making and record-keeping.
• Engage with community programs to promote youth sports.
• Collaborate with league management on scheduling and game logistics.
• Monitor player conduct and ensure rule adherence.
• Continue personal development and training on updated rules and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Demonstrated experience umpiring at various levels (youth, high school, college)

Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in officiating softball games.

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills to guide younger umpires.
• Coaching Experience: Experience in coaching or playing softball is advantageous.
